The Day of the Tortoise The Day of the Tortoise

Fred Tomlinson, a middle-aged bachelor leads an uneventful and complaintless existence with his three elderly and crazy sisters and their horde of pets in a big Edwardian house where there are no longer any servants. A short novel which searches the depths of loneliness with poignancy and truth.
